Frequently Asked Questions
Some questions I've had over the years, all in one place for you to browse through.

We’re awkward in front of the camera, can you help with that?
Most people feel awkward in front of the camera — I get it, I’m the same. My job is to help you relax. We’ll laugh, ease into it, and before you know it, it’ll feel natural. You’ll be left with beautiful photos to cherish for years to come.
Are there any additional costs?
Travel within England is all included in the cost for your wedding. A Second shooter and Album are not included in my packages, but we can discuss adding this for your wedding.
What’s included in your packages?
When you book One Moment, get me Laura photographing and being a helping hand for the whole day, from prep to first dance.
Do you provide traditional group photos?
I completely understand how important group photos are with your loved ones. I usually recommend keeping them to around 8-10 and having your list ready a few days in advance — that way, everything runs smoothly and you can spend more time enjoying your day.
Have you shot at our venue before?
To be honest it doesn't really matter if I have shot at your wedding before as every wedding is individual and also the weather and therefore the lighting. By choosing me your trusting me to know how to read the lighting at your venue.
Will you pose us, or is it more natural/candid?
Most portraits involve a bit of posing — but I keep it relaxed. I won’t micromanage or force you into stiff positions. If something looks off or the light needs adjusting, I’ll guide you — but in a natural, easy way. The goal is simple: photos that feel like you, not staged.
Are you insured?
Yes I'm fully insured. If your venue needs a copy please let me know.
Can we customise a package to suit our day?
If you’re planning an elopement or a smaller registry office celebration, just fill in the contact form with your details and I’ll take a look. There’s always flexibility to tailor a package to suit your day.
What happens if you’re ill or something goes wrong?
The is a 100% worst case scenario but I have a wonderful group of back up photographer that I can all on to help me if needed.
Can we have the RAW files?
I don’t provide RAW files, as they’re unfinished images and not a true reflection of my work. Every photo you receive is carefully edited to match my style and ensure the final gallery feels consistent and complete. That editing process is a big part of what you’re investing in. I’m always happy to make small tweaks if needed, but I only deliver fully edited images.
What makes wedding photography worth the investment?
In a few years, most of the details — the flowers, the menu, the favours — will be a lovely blur. Your photos are what you'll actually go back to, again and again, for the rest of your lives. They're the one thing from your wedding day that gets to exist forever. That's a big job for a relatively small part of the budget.
Do we need a second photographer?
Not always, but it depends on your day. If you've got a big guest list, two locations, or want simultaneous coverage of both of you getting ready, a second shooter can be brilliant for catching everything without missing a beat. For smaller or more intimate weddings, one photographer is often plenty. I'm always happy to chat through your day and tell you honestly what I think you'd benefit from.
Is an engagement shoot worth it?
I'd always say yes, if you can fit it in. It's a lovely, low-pressure way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day — no wedding-day nerves, just you two being yourselves. It also means we get to know each other a bit before your wedding, so on the day, it feels more like hanging out with a mate than posing for a stranger.
What happens if it rains?
Honestly? Some of my favourite photos have come from a rainy day. A brolly, some puddle jumping, moody skies — it can look incredible. I'll always have a backup plan for your venue's indoor spaces too, so don't stress about it. British weather is unpredictable, but it's never once ruined a wedding day.
When will we receive our photos?
Your full gallery will be with you in 8-12 weeks, though I always try to get them to you sooner where I can. You won't have to wait that long to get a first look, though — I'll send over a handful of sneak peeks within 48 hours of your wedding, so you've got something to swoon over (and share!) straight away.
How do we book?
The best first step is just to say hello — fill in the contact form on my website with a bit about your day (your date, your venue, your vibe), or if you've got questions first, just drop me a WhatsApp message. From there we'll have a chat to see if we're a good fit, and if it feels right on both sides, I'll send over a contract and take a deposit to lock in your date.
